You’re able to use the Revcast AI Assistant both inside of Revcast and within your Slack workspace. You can ask questions right in Slack, making it easier to get the information you need when and where you need it. Revcast provides a Slack app and the required credentials, making installation a breeze. Here’s how it works:
Follow this link to begin the authorization process: Revcast AI Assistant Slack App. From there, you’ll see a screen that looks like this:
You can select a new workspace using the filter in the top-right
Choose the channel into which you’d like to allow the app to work - this can include direct messages. Heads-up: All Slack users in the channels you select will have access to the Assistant, even those without a Revcast login.
Click “Allow” to authorize the Revcast App
You’ll see a confirmation message that the application has been installed, which will notify us to finalize the setup on your behalf.
Once you’ve seen a confirmation, we’ll handle the final step to authorize the Assistant with access to your data in Revcast. We’ll contact you directly once this is enabled - it usually takes less than 30 minutes during business hours.
Once enabled, you can interact with the Assistant by using “/revcast” in a channel to which it’s been invited.
As an example, you might as a question such as “/revcast What are my revenue targets for this fiscal year?”.
If you’d like to add the Revcast AI Assistant to other Slack channels in your workspace, do so in the channel by using the “/invite @Revcast AI Assistant”. Remember: All Slack users in the channels you select will have access to the Assistant, even those without a Revcast login.
